Walk this ParkWAY Philadelphia loves to take over the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, it means the city did something amazing. In February of 2018, that meant winning Superbowl LII against the New England Patriots. The Eagles celebrated their triumphant underdog victory with a parade along the Parkway but, come  September 30, the Parkway belongs to CHOP, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as the put on their annual Parkway Run and Walk. The event supports CHOP's cancer treatment research. Same day registration begins at 7 a.m. and the event starts at 8 a.m.

For the Foodies Like any great city, Philadelphia is home to culinary delights that will satisfy all your taste buds. One of the best ways to discover these foodgasm spots is to go on a guided food walking tour. You can focus on a food type like pizza, or go on a taste test around the world in an ethnic-focused tour, or go for a Philadelphia eats tour. Most of those tours start or at least feature the wonder that is Reading Terminal Market. It is everything a city food market should be, a juxtaposed center of the many taste and cultures of its city.

Walk by Color Color-coded signs like such can be spotted on every block in Center City, from the Delaware River to 22 St and Vine St to Lombard St. The Walk! Philadelphia signs were put up by the Center City District >> to bring ease to finding your way through the city. Each color represents the boundaries of a particular district. Blue for the Parkway Museums District, teal for Convention Center District Foundation, red for Historic District, purple for Washington Square District, and green for Rittenhouse Square District. A Sunday stroll from the parkway to Society Hill, no GPS necessary. Just look up.

Walk through Philadelphia's rich history Philadelphia is one of the country's oldest cities and the birthplace of both the Declaration of Independence and the American flag.  Nearly every block carries a piece of history. From towering Center City to diverse South Philly to right here in Olde City. As shown in the photo, the gentleman in the black jacket with the beard was leading a Spanish speaking walking tour of Old City. Here the group is stopped at The Betsy Ross House. There are a wide variety of historical walking tours such as a tour of Jewish immigrants arrival in Philadelphia, a Benjamin Franklin tour, and  a Founding Fathers tour.
